by boy.. The new wonderkidd has arrived into our life on 4th of August. We have named him Yash. Its a different world altogether for both myself and my wife. we are enjoying every moment of his growth.The times have changed. Lemme start with sports. I am a keen follower of some of the sports like cricket, Soccer. Cricket was the best thing in my school days. but now, looks like money has taken a toll on that sport too. Everybody wants to play for a 20-20 match and mint money. Policies have been changed in the BCCI. People who don't know how to bat are 20-20 heroes !! :). thats the craziest thing one can observe. The IPL was a crazy stuff in total. I guess the saying " money goes to the people who have money" is absolutly right. Its is unfortunate that the similar interest is not taken into other sports like hockey, tennis.
This trend is not restricted to cricket. Here in Europe, the craze is in Soccer. I was amazed to see the Germany's best soccer players did not participate in Olympics. All were playing BundesLiga where one player gets maximum money. I feels that the players had feeling that "why to waste time in participating in olympics, why to eat chinese noodles for so many days ? we better eat beaf here in europe" !! :). It is really disappointing to see that Germany is not grooming better soccer players for the future. Every Euro is going towards hiring international players.
